Clutch basket nuts.....how tight? was created by verybadmonkey
Hello everyone. I have a simple question cause the clymers manual has me all confused. How tight do you tighten the clutch basket screws? The ones with a spring behind them. The book says "tight", but what does that mean? Finger tight, as tight as I can with a handle driver, or ratchet tight.

One more reason to buy a Kawasaki Factory Service Manual instead of Clymers. What model bike??

The Clymer manual for the 650s says 6-8 ft.lb/8-11 Nm, that should work for the 750s too. Best to tighten them in a criss-cross pattern little by little so the lifter plate moves in evenly.

77 KZ 650 B1, 82 GPz 1100 B2.

Looking at my 750 factory manual, it says to cross tighten the bolts evenly to 78 in-lbs
