Ok i'm really nervous that i timed my 1982 KZ750 WRONG! Could someone help me out here and either type me up a set of fool proof instructions or give me a good link. I know how to get it to TDC, but i don't know which marks to line up on the cams or exactly how many links for this particular bike. Any help would be greatly appriciated

You need to pick up a Kawasaki Factory Service Manual. Even if you get info for this task from KZR, there will be a million other little maintenance tasks that you'll need to do and the FSM will tell you how dto do them along with good info on how the various components on your bike work. They're nearly always available pretty cheap on eBay, just be sure to get one for your exact model. Ed

On my '79 750 twin, when it's at TDC, each cam drive wheel has an arrow on it parallel to the head surface. The intake cam's arrow points to the rear, ex cam arrow forward (so they point exactly away from each other. Mine counts 32 chain link posts going forward from the firat one above the head surface on the intake cam wheel. The ex camshaft wheel has a "32" marked to show where the chain post should be.Ok i'm really nervous that i timed my 1982 KZ750 WRONG! Ok, i'll see if i can pick a manual up soon. But i want to have this engine back together this weekend. The chain links on the twins aren't the same as on my 4... are they?
