Hey if you recall the guy I was telling you about at EPE. He got one for that bad black z1 you like so much. He told me that those are very pricey because they have to be cnc machined. He has one in the shop. He said his cost to make it was very expensive but if enough guys want to get one it would be cheaper. On my other kaw I will do that even if it costs the Dahmer price it would be worth it as it is unique.

Yeah, they sure do look nice if done properly...somebody here should be "ABLE" to do it(hint hint).

Who wants to make some money?
Price pending,I'm interested.B)

773 478 0508 EPE Performance Chicago The guys name is Yianni and he was telling me for a long time about doing this very thing and he finally did one. I saw it with my very own eyes. Trick in a word and perfect. He took it to a cnc shop and had it cut and it looks perfect! I have to get him to post pics of it so all of you guys can see it. I might just do this with my 79. This guy does custom swing arms from chromoly and machines stuff that is totally trick for these bikes. This guy has ridden all kinds of bikes but the bike he had since he was 16 is the bike he still rides today at over 87000 miles on the same engine and it still runs like stink. He has the elusive pipe that everyone wants on this site that is the best pipe for this bike. Give him a call I guarantee he can do it for you and it will be perfect not homemade looking like a lot of stuff people like to do.
He did Cro Dogs bike and that cover for his bike that he is going to put on it shortly you can talk to him and ask him about it but I am quite sure that it will cost less than shipping your stuff to Germany and be much better than trying to dremel it.

Acrylic is harder and clearer (actually clearer than glass even), and resists scratches better than polycarbonate, but the big problem is that it cracks or even shatters suddenly. Polycarbonate bends before cracking. It also "crazes" before splitting which gives you some advance warning of impending failure. Polycarbonate yields at a lower temperature, too, so in really hot apps it may not be feasible.

Those clear covers do look cool. I just started messing with acrylic and polycarbonate last year. It may be an interesting project. Did they have to convert to a dry-clutch setup to keep the inside so clear of oil?
