help re non kz prob

hi guys i know this isnt a kz prob but have a bit of a problem with gear box oil leak on my gs1000g .got on a ride did about 150 klm noticed left hand side of tyre oiled up ,all down the side stand ,had just done a service replaced g/box oil they have a filler plug and a level plug to stop filling when it comes out there ,today i took out the plug on side of road and had a lot of oil comeout ,so did i over fill it ,ie takes a while for oil to get to level plug so put too much in .if so where did or does the oil come from whence on the side of road is there a breather of the box ,bit of a puzzle ! could have been a bit nasty if i had,ve kept going

Grace, If I recall correctly the GS shaft drives had a breather on the left side of lower case below carbs. (looks like a little chrome cap on a spindle) if so, is most likely culpret.luck G

it sounds to me like it was over filled and the excess is just getting pushed out. better out the vent then the seals right

I just got one of those S thing 1100's last week in a work for bike deal. I was thinking of turning it into a RAT BIKE
