glass or sand is fine. Its all about keeping it OUT.i would degrees all the oil pasages 1st. this way if any particals do get in they will not stick to the oil left in the passages.U must go anal (oops, I dont think i can say that hear,Good thing i didnt say it too loud)with your prep work. It must be taped to death with duct tape then take a rasor to cut back the extra tape.
