1000j / 1100 swap was created by will61310
Does anyone know if a kz1100 cylinder "jug" will drop in a kz1000 j case? Or do the cases need machine work? I have a 1982 kz 100k ltd and a spare top end from a 81 - 83 kz1100 shaft drive bike. Im not sure of the year, coz its been sitting around awhile, Im just wanting to know if the size of the liners is the same...Thanks....Will

i just read a piece on my site and its possible but if any mods were needed i can not answer.
i know J bottom end gpz1100 top end works.
kz1000j3, kz1000j1, kz700a1(wifes)& bighorn 350 f9.

you can change to 1100ccm cyl. without any mods.
