What year is this Cylinder Head. was created by Russ Jackson
I am trying to date this head. Also if any of you could post a picture of a 900 head with the 903cc mark from different years it would be appreciated.

That is the jug. 903cc went to 1000 in 77 there was a 76 900 and a 1000 so i would say 76 or older.

beings how its not black im gonna guess 74-75 z1 or 76 or early 77 kz900,is there a number on the engine cases? B)

Actually, someone posted something about the font style a while ago that was tied to year of production...if no one posts a more definitive answer today, I'll do some digging tonight.

It is on my 1976 but I heard that the stamp differs from year to year. Thats why an early 72 - 75 picture might be helpful....Russ
