I am needeing some valve shims and i would send back what ever ones i do not use. I can also trade for ones i do have. I beleive i have 2- 235 3- 240 4-245 also maybe more than posted ad well as some 250 shims. i am needing 4 220 shims and four 225 shims also maybe a couple of 215 and 210 jsut to be safe. Like i said i can send whatever i don't use back to you and trade for the shims i do have. Kinda in a rush and i would gladly pay for priority shipping through usps (paypal). Thanks for any help!

A local Kawi dealer will probably trade you some shims because I do believe these are still available from many sources (unlike the shims for the 750 twins).

If you have to buy shims, Bike bandit sells the OEM originals for about $5.90 each. Z1 Enterprises may also have them.

550's, 650's and 750-fours use the same shims. The older bigger motors can be converted to the shim-under-bucket type, but normally they were shim over (which requires bigger shims).

It is more work, but in the long run, if you ever seen the damage a spit shim can cause on a shim-over, it's a good piece of mind if you miss a shift here or there on a hard launch. I think people use 650 shim-under setups on the 900's for safety.
