1000j in an earlier kz900/1000 frame? was created by adamnphx

i am aware of the internal differences but dont know if the mounts are the same. would a j model 1000 go into an earlier frame using the same mounts? thanks adam

Physically it will fit, but you will have to make different motor mounts. Shouldnt be that hard if you have the right tools.

hey adamnphx,
i had asked a similar question and did not find much on it but when i saw your question ....i lokked in the history and found the thread on 1100 engine mounts and restarted it you may have to personal message one of those guys to get more info.....good luck...peace craig
