Piston Picture? was created by JAILBAIT
Does anyone have a picture of what a stock piston looks like that would come out of a 1977 kz1000a.

I got my motor apart last night and I am pretty sure it has aftermarket pistons and I want to verify.

you can enter kz1000(year and model too) piston on e-bay under motorcycle parts and they will show sets folks have removed and are selling ...that is one way...or look in your manual under engine overhual.. this should have shots of the pistons tops and mm measurements......that is a couple ways....hope it helps...peace

Kawasaki used 2 different pistons, but I can't remember the eras.Others will know more.
This picture is my factory piston and the new Wiseco's that I installed.
(Factory piston is on the right.)

The second pic is the A.R.T. piston that Kawi used.

Well I know now that they are aftermarket. I will try and get a picture tonight when i get back to the shop.

Maybe you guys can help me determine what brand they are. I know for sure they are not the A.R.T. pistons and not stock ones.

What happened to the pins?

Can they be sold?

Kinda depends if u can still get rings or not. U need to measure the rings thickness and see if u can get replacements. From places like Hastings rings, or wiesco or any of the others.
