KZ1000 P-19 clutch problems was created by OldHippie
Just got the bike running again... after missing a real simple problem with the plugs. My friend and I also installed a fresh clutch cable. Let the bike run for a few minutes to get warm, pulled in the clutch lever a put it in gear. The bike lurched a bit when I dropped it into gear. I released the clutch lever but the bike didn't move. Revving the rpms didn't do anything either. we're both stumped here. Any suggestions and/or ideas?

Go through the clutch adjustment again. Make sure you are not over riding the ramps the clutch screw adjuster uses inside the cover. This happens a lot and sometimes the books don't tell it right. Might take some fiddling. (Don't call Charlie Daniels or Jean Luc Ponty) :pinch: :pinch:

Write "Clutch adjustment" on "search forum" -box. Lots of topics there and a few regarding the infamous "3-balls-and-a-ramp" -assy thats in J-engines. It can be a bit tricky and it easily jamms clutch "open".
