this is a top shot....any clues would be great.....could a guy get just one ring replaced for this piston?

i have the bad ring ...it was flatened on one end of the c and mangled a little...no other marks in the kit anywhere...i think if i can get a ring..and go from there??

thanks folks...

71mm Pistons from wiseco use 4022 in the part number. Should be wiseco. see www.wiseco.com for a catalog of pistons, rings, gaskets, etc.
CC = 1045
to calculate take (1/2 piston diameter squared) X (Pi) X (Stroke) X (# of cylinders) / 1000

So 1260.25 X 3.14 X 66 X 4 / 1000 = 1045

From Wiseco's Website Search for "Kawasaki" and "4022"

1045cc
2.795" or 71.00mm 1mm oversize for KZ1000 5mm oversize for KZ900 Stroke - 65.93mm
K1045 $593.46
10.25:1
Cylinder boring only
Piston: 4022M07100 $135.71
Rings: 2795XC
Piston Pins: S523
Retainer Clips: CW17 CFM20
Head Gasket: W3917 $54.95
Fiber Base Gasket: W5380 $14.04
Optional: Sleeve: KA627SL, 3099FA

I ren into this issue a while back on an engine of mine that came with "C" stamped on the crown of the piston. The "C" was for "XC" rings, but no one makes a set for my 615 Kit. The newer kits come with the XA rings and are thinner than the XC. Piston Groove is too large for the XA rings, so I would need new pistons, pins, and rings. E-Mail or call Wiseco and see if they still make the type of rings you need. Look at the Piston Ring section of Wiseco's Website, and measure your piston and rings to verify what they list.

Good Luck
