hey guys. it's been a while since i have been on. finally got back to working on my bike after being in florida for four months. i am still having the same problems. it won't start. the battery is at full charge. the starter sounds good. the carbs have just been cleaned and synced. it just won't start for me. i have just over a week before i disappear to florida again. if i can't get it going before i leave i'm probably going to sell it cause i need to get riding, and eileen just won't go for me. does anyone have any ideas on what i need to do to make her go?

The 77 uses points, are they set right and do you have spark? Timed?

How fresh is the gas? 4 months? Replace it.

My 650 was hard starting also for some reason. Check your points and make sure everything is good. You should also do the wiredgeorge coil mod to get strong spark. Mine had a trick, turn of headlight and kick it, sometimes it would start with ether and sometimes not. I think the electric start takes to much juice to fire if everything is not optimum. Mine also would not start under 65 degrees for some reason. Once running check your timing, carbs, voltage etc. Good luckB) B) B)
