81-82 GPz1100 head will bolt right on a 81 and newer 1000 (except 81 cop bike), 83-84 GPz1100 head has a different combustion chamber.

APE Jay could probably give you a definite answer.

im gonna guess its basically same head you have,maybe differant set of cams.;)
