How much does the cylinder head have to do with overall power on stock or none stock motors?:unsure:

thats where it all starts everything comes in and goes out through the head,definately a big piece of the horsepower equation! :whistle:

A motor is really just an air pump. The more air you can pump through it the more you get out of it. A well designed cam, port optimised and better valving you get better flow.

In a magazine interview, Rob Muzzy said that 25 additional horsepower was found in Eddie Lawson's early 1980s KZ1000 Superbike's cylinder head. Finders keepers ...:)

All part of the whole... An improved head can't breathe better through low performance carbs. Can't breathe out through unimproved exhaust. Stock valve lift cams might not serve if everything changes around it. Etc.

Eventually you need 1428cc pistons or everyone laughs at you. Vicious circle.
