the 900 or larger motors will require a little work to make fit, but is doable and would be pretty cool. But if you want to keep it easy, a 750 motor will bolt up just right, and should be pretty easy.

There is someone on here that has a 900 motor in the 650 frame. I think it fit but you have to take the motor out to adjust the valves. I would go with the 750 and put an 810cc kit on it.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN A 810 SWAP? IS IT JUST NEW CYLINDERS OR ? DO THEY MAKE IT IN A KIT? THE BIKE IS SET UP LIKE A CAFE RACER SO THIS WOULD BE KINDA FUN.

Here is a pic of a Z1 in a 650 frame, note clearance at top of motor and custom motor mounts at bottom. Can be done but lots of work. (click to enlarge)

It can be done but why?????????????????????? The motor is too much for that small little frame. Maybe a 750 but I guess if you don't spend much on it why not?

I wonder how much it would cost to modify the valve cover into a two-piece that bolts together with a nice flange?

The rear brake looks like a disk. What is that thing that looks like a tin can with three holes? Why not just use a 900/1000 frame and have the engine bolt right up?
