MAC header exhaust slip-on? was created by fredgarvin42
Would anyone happen to know where I can get a slip on baffle of some sort, for a MAC 4 in to 1 header? I found some on supertrapps site but they seem pricey. More scoop...

I bought a MAC 4 in to one for a KZ900 (like a bonehead). I have a 1980 1000 LTD. The header works fine but the frame mount for the baffle won't work. The lower frame mount mount is too long and low for the whole assembly to work. I would like to install a shorty type baffle on to the header and try it out before I go blowing 3-500 clams on a new V&H or Kerker. Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Fred

I had a Mac on an old bike and had to fab a strap from steel that would reach from the megaphone to the rear peg at a funky angle. Looked like crap but was functional.

Here is a pic of 1980 1000 with a Mac header and some other pipe I had laying around. Just welded it up and the mounting bracket lined up with the footrest.

Here is my 78 with a Mac and the back half of a zx6 exhaust. I ad to take it to Mienike (spelling) and have them fab up a short piece with a couple of bends in it. I made a strap for it to mount to the blinker mount.
