Yep, I let one go on Ebay a few months back, I bidded it up to $210, but didn't go high enough. Haven't seen one since. Yoshimura USA will import a vintage Z1 header from Yoshimura Japan, but they're $1000 and don't have that great upswept angle of the above pipe.

i know what you mean about the bidding on that kinda stuff...i'm just a carpenter and not rich...sometimes i think it's gonna be just one more bid away then i check back and it's gone way up....later i've wished i had stayed in the bidding on only a couple of items ...most i'm happy someone got it instead...they are around still though...good luck

Thanks for posting the photo.
That's the Yoshimura exhaust I enjoyed running for several years, finished in chrome. Imo, one of the most beautiful exhaust systems ever made for the large fours. And excellent performance (especially without the short easily removed baffle). Deep throaty sound without the baffle, not painfully loud. But not so great sounding with baffle installed, imo.
Am thinking oil filter change required removing the headers, which was the deal killer for me (especially when cross-country touring). But have always regretted not having had sense enough to hang onto it.
Good Luck!

There is an amazing selection of pipes available from Japan - the only issue is the price. Several companies make pipes in the style of the old Yosh pipes. One of them is Misty - their version is about $500.00,
Another is a custom series pipe for around $700.00
Both require you to drop the pipe to change the oil.
PMC www.win-pmc.com is our priimary supplier in Japan. Have a look at some of their stuff...

Two things:
Ability to change oil filter with pipe in place.
Better ground clearance. Many guys are lowering their bikes and even an inch is a big difference in ground clearance.

Yeah, the oil filter access is important. If you're going to lower your bike very much, you have to at least consider a sidewinder/pro pipe.
