one last question...(we hope)..... was created by keith1
what to fill the area where the rubber o ring resides in a stock motor.....i m using one pc head gasket
and was advised to use silicone....i m guessing i cant use the stuff in the bathroom...what brand? for what original application? would the high temp black rtv stuff be no good......i should be bolting my redone head on in the next couple of weeks and i m getting antsy for the sniff of exaust in the garage......as always thanks in advance....keith:woohoo:

I used the black Permatex. As long as it can take the heat, any silicone should be fine. just get it a smidge higher than the surface so it will seal the oil into the galley .Not too high.Let it dry before u assemble.

76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

thanks guys.....mark, i think i am going that route as it is high temp....i have some in my tool box....i just feel better about using that
stuff...i dont know why, but i do.....

i just had a brain fart...room temperature vulcanization?........and no i didnt cheat if i got it right...if i didnt, i can continue to cruise through life a clueless retard...shit, i cant lose.....:laugh:
