Splitting Cases:How to was created by GregZ
Can someone tell how to split cases. I have old 73 900 motor thinking (Fleabay)someone might need early 3 digit cases.The only thing there is the cases with crank and trans. Think I have all bolts out. what next??

STOP Emmidiately.... Seriously!
There are four bolts that are off the main crank cap that are somewhat deceiving these also must come off... If you don't you'll end up like I did, broken case!!!!
The one manual I had didn't truly mention these (bolt counts) and I screwed up royal, blew a hole through the case....
Take your time, loosen these 4 bolts and then in using the 8mm case splitting bolts (attached) in the manuals you'll find the cases split rather easily.
