Newbie question about chekcing oil. was created by crazy homeless guy
A newbie question about checking oil. Can I check the oil accurately while using the middle stand? I hate trying to balance the bike with one hand, while squatting and looking.

Checking oil on the center stand is the way to do it.

Today's quick tip - - -
With no centerstand or assistant to hold the bike balanced upright, oil level sight glass may be quickly and easily (and safely) viewed while sitting astride the bike by using an inexpensive telescoping pocket mirror available from almost anywhere automotive tools are sold.
Works even better with a flashlight or worklight on the floor with beam directed at the sight glass.
Good Luck!
