i have a set of .395 web cams that have been run in a small motored drag bike, my every day street ride for over 15 years they are easy to set up make good power and are make good power every where. i like them very much. a very good investment. them and a set of 29 smoothbores will liven up any bike.

Speak with Buzz, general manager. He's a great guy, been around the drag racing scene for a long time... I had sent him an e-mail with some questions and he actually called me on the phone! No kidding!

The first time I spoke with him (for about an hour mind you), he asked me the same as Larry C. did... What are your plans for the motor, what's your riding style, what are you expecting in response, basically WTF do you want to do here... LOL!

I informed him look, I'm 50 years old, I'm building a motor that will have a little added pick up when required but nothing insane that will require daily tweaking. I just want a strong running motor that will pull when required, has the Kerker sound that I fell in love with 30 years ago and will be dependable.

He replied excellent, go with the .365 CAM's, the 1015cc kit, a new set of Keihin 29mm CR Specials and the Kerker with 1.5" competition baffles and the Dyna S EI. Go with this and you'll be extremely pleased with the response of that old girl.

Now keep in mind, he informed me he would sell me what ever I wanted... but as I informed him and Larry C, I wanted to build a strong running motor, not the fastest, not a turbo just a truly clean runner and they both replied the same....

What more could you ask for... B)

BTW... Their chrome Kerker is $150 cheaper than anywhere else I found @ $500... That's only $150 more than a V&H any longer.

that sounds like areally good combo almost the same set-up as what i build for a lot of guy's in there street bikes mine included. it will work very well for you and do every thing you want it to do on pump gas.

I have 410 cams and LOVE them. But it must me part of a complete system. I have 1075 kit with 10.5 CR, ported head, BS34 carbs, and specially tuned exhaust. Time spent fine tuning...2 yrs, results.....huge grin. Power from 2200 rpm to 10K. Smooth delivery, no hesitation, arm stretching acceleration. Road to get there long, but fun.

79 KZ1000 LTD B3, 1075 kit, BS34 carbs, high velocity ported heads, K410 cams, V&H pipe w/custom baffle

that sounds like fun, what was your biggest problem setting up those cv carbs.
