hey, im building up my drag bike thios winter, im looking at going with a 1075 12:1 kit from APE. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this kit at all and wut your thoughts are.
any suggestions as far as a different route to go with? this is going into a 1000 block.
ill be running it in a 76 kz900 frame, kz 400 forks, 4" stretched factory swingarm, 3.5" akront rear wheel with 5.5" slick, kz400 front wheel, sidewinder pipe, dyna ignition and coils and 2 step, fuel cell backbone, air shifter.
ill have the head done by fast by gast, and trans undercut.

iroc i built that same combo for a friend of mine about 10 years ago other than pulling the head to change valve springs and changing clutch baskets a couple of times that engine always worked well it ran 9.80's down to 9.60's consistently. he finally broke the engine on the dyno after a cam change last year the crank let go. that engine had hundreds if not thousands of passes on it. so i'd say that was a good kit.

it was in a converted 78 1000 a frame the only thing left from the origanal frame was the cradle.he won the divison 6 bracket finals with that combo and went to pomona to run for the national bracket championship with that bike he blew [to much boozing] but the bike worked awesome every year it seemed to go quicker than it had the year before he has never been able to match it since.
