cylinder stamps what years?? was created by trippivot
what are the different years have the cylinder displacement stamp.
1015cc ?? and then the 1.015L it is a cute cursive l,L
I have 1 of both and do not know which is older and or if the LTD or CSR had these differences.
77 to mid 80 I know the long history of the 1015 but this stamp might be the difference of a good restoration or another frankenstien bike.

As a matter of interest, my '78 650 block is also stamped with the lower case script-type ell....0.652 l. So they were using the script-type ell in '78 for sure.
Any of you '77 650 guys ever looked at your block ?? Or '79 guys ???

I have several 1977 cylinder blocks and they are both stamped with '1015cc'. My 1982 GPz1100 is stamped with '1.089l'. This suggests that the lettering change occurred in the later runs of the 1015 series.
