Even with it, what a pain to get my cylinder studs out! They're out now anyways, now I can split that block and get the crankcase ready to accept the 750 cylinders!

PS - Project thread coming soon!

I've still got a stud remover broken off deep in an exhaust stud buried in the block of my KZ1000. Try to drill one of those @!$%#$@%$#%$ things out

Oh you mean an easy out? I mean this:

Yeah drilling out an easy out wont be easy. I tried with a carbide endmill one time, ended up using a cold chisel to beat it up and take it out in chunks. Didn't ruin the thread either somehow.

Believe it or not, Harbor Freight Tools has them!
Unfortunately, I didn't find this out till after I changed mine out...

Granted, the ones they sell on line are not metric but since they do cover a variety of dimensions, should work I would think. My HF store had metric as well.

APE also sells them, not sure but maybe Z1 as well. Obviously these would be better craftsmanship but how many times will you really needs this tool and for the price difference...

I would rather buy from Z1. I bought a chain riveting tool for my new chain; well the threads on the tool started flaking off after one use.... I thought maybe I used it wrong, or tightened it to much when I was peening pin ends over.

So I talked to Jeff about purchasing a replacement part, yeah he took one look at it, said he had never heard of that problem and exchanged it for a new one.

I still don't know why the threads all flaked off (it looked like chalk crumbling...) but yeah Jeff is a totally stand up guy.

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

Yeah I think I'll go for the spendy one. I would rather pay a little more and like it. I have two motors to do in the next six months so I better get the good one. Besides another tool never hurt anyone. B)

I bought mine at the Canadian version of harbour freight. Worked well, had to start some of them with my very long 1/2" drive torque wrench.
