Hey guys, I have a little Honda Cb400, and a tab with a mount hole for the counterbalance chain guide was broken off inside the engine. Do you think it'd be wise to weld it on, or should I just get a new crankcase?

Right on. It'll cost me less for the cases than it will for the replacement parts for mine. I'll probably leave it and keep the ones I have for a rainy day. I can always get it welded down the road if I need to.

Yes indeed, that's how I started with my case. I deliberately (yeah right Rock) punched a hole in my lower case.

Yessir, gonna have a load of parts now, just won a bunch of stuff on eBay. I also won the parts microfiche for my 650, I think I'm gonna frame it and stick it on the wall.
