can't find anything out there.
is this the 1200 kit?
1170is that 75mm?
i have a gpz head and some 1197 jugs and 12.5 mtc pistons but wanted the pistons to go with the head, if i used the high dome kz pistons would it present any clearance problems.
how important is "squish"?
thanks in advance guys

76mm (1197)
78mm (1261)
APE (old catalog) 75mm
78mm
You can also get kits in 80mm (1327) from APE
MTC also has kits in 80mm (1327)
83mm (1428)
85mm (1500)
These bigger kits will need a big-block to use along with the extra machine work.
Might be other places to get piston kits but this is what catalogs I have. You can also check Schnitzracing.com under KZ1000 folder to see what kits they sell.

Are you using a KZ bottom end with a GPZ head?
If you do that, we set you up with the J pistons to match the head, and you run a .040" spacer. In that case, you would also want the 76 mm pistons if using the stock block.

thats the plan as of now
i will need the block checked to make sure it is good(looks great),
and i dont need to go up to a 1260(or to see if i could)
but yep thats the plan.
i need to sell some stuff on ebay and two bikes and i will have some cash i can then spend on the bike

Re:pistons 1 Day ago
76s are available. We just don't list them because they are not very popular. The require sleeves like the 1260, cost the same as a 1260, most people just go with a 1260

thanks
1 Jay is there a compression drop when going from the J head to the bathtub head? using j pistons
2. because with the gpz the piston pins would be too big(holes) do they have special pistons just for the gpz head? or you just run the j head pistons.
3. would i be asking for trouble by running the 12.5 in the gpz head? valve clearance probs?
