I thought I bent a valve so I pulled the head to change and found I had copper head gaskets, I'm not the original owner so I don't know if this is still stock bore . I measured the best I could with a caliper and got 2.870 for bores and the gaskets are 2.95 with RC ENG on them. I checked the stock head gaskets and they seem to me to be too small for this bore. The reason I thought I dumped a valve is because I had alot of blowby noise thru the #1 carb. The engine still would run without any knocks or clangs.
Could someone give me some insight on what size engine I may have here..

Thanks
Chuck

Looks like you've got an 1100cc engine there. Beyond that I cant help.

The copper head gasket can be used over and over as long as it is intact(not torn or broken). Take a propane torch and heat it to cherry red and let it cool. This aneals or softens the copper. The same thing can be done for the copper oil drain gaskets on cars and motorcycles.

My guess is it's an RC Eng. 1197 cc. kit ( 1200 ) 2.875 " is roughly 73 mm. You'll probably notice the pistons have a higher dome than stockers with valve pocket reliefs cut into the tops. Good pistons, had lots of RC stuff in my bikes over the years.

May be very hard to find rings for it if you pull the barrels.
