mk11 cam gears in a 900 head was created by School Teacher
will they work with the 900 stock valve cover?
1976 kz900 in parts but will be going some day soon
1980 kz1000G1
1976 kz900 parts bike

NO and yes. The mk11 has 32 teeth the kz has 28. they will fit but unless u use a MK11 crank, wich has 1 extra tooth , your timing will be out.
76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

the 900 is the head, on a mk2 bottom. with the 32 tooth gear they are bigger do they fit under a stock valve cover?

yes. i have a mk11 crank and mk11cam gears in my kz 77block and 76kz head and a kz valve cover.

Just for the record, the Z1 and KZ1000 cam gears are 30T. Mark is correct, the valve covers will interchange.
1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110
