Oil dripping out of airbox-- normal ? kz1000-P-19 was created by zshark
  I have had the bike for only 6-months. I have not worked on motorcycles before, but have worked on cars. Plugs do not show any oil getting pass the rings. Any suggestions on the steps to take to make sure that the engine is ok? Thanks

My first thought would be too much oil in the crankcase.

Might also be excessive blow-by past compression rings into crankcase. Could perform compression test, or better yet, a leak down test.
Good Luck!

And WELCOME to KZR forum, zshark!
We're glad you're here!
If doing a compression test, remember to hold the throttle wide open while spinning the engine over.
If low compression, add a teaspoon of oil into cylinder and re-test (checks compression rings). If still low after oil added inside cylinder, check and adjust valve clearances to specs (too tight valves are often the cause of poor compression on these bikes).
Good Luck!

Well-said guys. Booth of these things could cause oil to appear in the air box. Blow buy is common.
