your only a month or so away from winter i'd do it then when the weather is crappy and your not able to ride any more anyway it sounds like the top end is in good shape from those numbers you quoted that you got for compression, my self i'd pull it out and tear it down and check every thing out and replace the cam chain do a fresh valve job and possibly cam chain guides and idlers gaskets and seals but thats just me[i do this for a living] i know it can be a little daunting the first time you do something out of your comfort zone, but don't sweat it buddy take your time and ask for help if it's needed, from what i have seen in the month i've been on this forum is alot of people that know these great bikes inside and out are willing to help without hesitation, you guys know more about these bikes than the factory ever did.
