Kerker rear peg mounting Brackett? was created by Oldwolf
Looking for a pic of how a kerker Megaphone mounts to the rear Peg area on a 1977 KZ1000 A1. And can the Rear foot rest still be folded? Would like to see a close up of how this has been done. I looked thru the Gallery and could not find that many A1's with Kerkers. Thanks for the Help.

KZ900-B1 LTD with Kerker attached using a simple fabricated bracket and a little rubber "motor mount" which isolates the frame from vibration.
No adverse effect at all on normal operation of folding right rear passenger peg. Foot peg is flipped up in the photo.
Good Luck!

i dont have any close ups but the a1-a2 use a stamped steel footpeg bracket differant tha the tubing used on b model bikes.there is actually a tab with a hole under the footpeg bracket for the exhuast mount if it hasnt been removed same basic idea you just bend a piece of plate to fill between the header and frame mount.

Oldwolf, My Kerker meg's mount was aft of the rider peg by @ 2". by fabing a double 90 degree (straight Z) bracket of heavy aluminum strap.(@1'x1/4) I was able to mount from the inboard side of peg mount retaining the stock rubber damper/peg locator, and securely mount to meg, providing a solid, nearly invisible yet still rubber mounted hanger without any interferance w/passenger peg. Here's a pic of my '78 A2. I beleive the frame is same as yours. It has a short bracket that came with the pipe when I bought it years ago.
