Mabe post a pic of the discoloration. The same thing happend to me when i put a 4 into 1 vance and hines on my z1.I just put a new V&H 4-1 pipe on my '79 KZ650 which has a stock replacement KN filter- no pods. I know it probably needs rejetted but put it on and ran it to see how it would run. Seems to run fine, just crackles and pops on deceleration and the pipes have discolored really strange. One is really dark purple/blue almost black, two are more gold/blue and one is 100% chrome still. Are the carbs not in synch? Or what would cause one cylinder to be hotter than the others? The carbs have never been messed with but maybe some are dirty? I dont know. Just seems weird that they would turn different colors.
