Yoshimura RS-3 exhaust can on a 74 z1

I was up at the bike shop today and was talking to the guy in the parts area. I asked him if he had any used exhaust cans laying around. He said he had one off of a katana 600. I asked him how much? He said 20 bucks and you could have it, so i took it. On my way home i stopped off at a mieneke and had them custom bend me a mid pipe......and the best part was he didnt even charge me for the pipe or bending it. So i got a cool looking "crotch rocket" pipe on my bike for 20 bucks. All i have to do is move the right rear peg up a bit cause it hits the pipe. And make a bracket to hang the can. Oh ya i also have to bend in the area a bit right by the kick start cause its out a bit to far. Im going to take pics of it right now. Post them up in a bit. Thanks Jim.

Here is a shot of the "custom" mieneke mid pipe. I still have tho move it in a bit to clear the kicker.

Nick, the bike runs strong and as smooth as silk. It sounds pretty good to, with out being obnoxiously loud. Thanks OMR, it looks sweet in person.

It sure helps to ask around at the bike dealers for stuff you would normally pay $$$$$$ for and get it for $20 and to get a free mid pipe and bending!

I don't know why (actually I do) but Kawi Green still gives me goose bumps just like when I was a kid....

That color on anything else on the planet would look like crap but not on a Kawasaki... Amazing color isn't it...
You just have to love it! Every time I see it I grin...

Question, by putting this type of can on the bike, is re-jetting required?

Jim that set up looks a bit like the ZR7 pipe I put on my 650. It takes some getting used to but after awhile it grows on you. It sure made my bike run sweet as well.
