Exhaust pipe clearance problem

I have a 79 KZ1000LTD lowered 1" front and rear. My V&H 4 into 1 occasionally drags at the collector in cornering to the right. Are there any exhausts available that tuck under tighter?

What style V&H header do you have? They make about 4 different ones for that bike. I assume it's the upswept model? Most pipes run under the motor then swing out along the right side and then angle up. Not much difference between brands in that style. If you have a style that the collector is off to the right and doesn't sweep up, then you might want to get the upsept style. By lowering the bike, you have taken away a lot of ground clearance. I am in the same spot but I have mine lowered about 2"...short legs. For the most part, it's something you have to learn to live with and take it into consideration while riding.

It is a recent new purchase upswept model.

Are there any twin exhausts, exit on both sides, that are decent? I don't like the turn out style, but a twins going straight back would suit me.

Unless you put a sidewinder on it your out of luck. I had mine lowered 2 inches and needed new shorts the first time I took a corner too fast.
