Run like an 1100 GPZ? was created by Exitpupil
I had a beautiful 83 GPZ 1100 that I foolishly sold. I now have a 79 KZ 1000 LTD. What mods would I need to get it to match the power of the GPZ?

79 KZ1000 LTD B3, 1075 kit, BS34 carbs, high velocity ported heads, K410 cams, V&H pipe w/custom baffle

Why match it when you can beat it?

88CFM @10" cylinderhead w/stock 36mm valves

1075cc 10.5:1 compression JE pistons

Web #110 Grind cams

31mm Keihin CRS Smoothbore carbs

That combo will give you everything you want & more.

I think I'm on the way then! I got the 1075 kit, ported head, K410 cams and 34BS carbs. Now to get it tuned right. Thanks for the encouragement.

There you go!

Just curious, what's the head flowing @10" ? You did get a flowsheet right?

Larry, sorry no flow sheet. This is a head I got your calculations for a year or two ago and ported myself according to your recommendations. I'll post how it runs when I get her dialed in. The carbs were jetted wrong and I had been fighting that because I just found the main jet was not what I was told it was. How much am I loosing from using the stock valve seat angles? I only lapped the valves as they had 4K miles on them.
