Number 1 bike is up... was created by coppertales
Finally completed the ring/valve job on my number one bike this weekend. It is a 1982 KZ1100D. I have been picking at it since the first of the year but not hard because my other two bikes are on the road. It seems like every time I was close to getting it running, I had to steal a part off it for one of the other bikes, all three are 82 KZ1100s. Anyway, it fired right up and the only problem I see is one of the carb floats is leaking. I will pull the carbs off this weekend and fix that. Feels good to have all of the bikes running. Wife will only let me put two on the road at a time so it will still be the garage queen. However, with the number 3 bike down with a broken wiring connector, it may get to run down the road sooner than expected......chris3

I did the job myself. The cylinder was not worn bad enough to require an overbore. I have only been working on these bikes since 1973.....chris3
