That's why we used the 650 charging system on the 83 GPz750 motor, it was easier than messing with the wiring :)

Stock gearing on a 83 GPz750 is 15/38 with a 630 chain.

We used 18/45 with a 530 chain, but GPzInfested thinks a 17/38 might be better (we have both 17 and 18).

If you want to use 530 chain, then you will need a 6mm offset front sprocket since the stock 630 front sprocket has a 6mm offset. The 83-85 GPz750 motors are the only 750 that require an offset sprocket with a stock rear wheel.

The 83-85 GPz750's use a large front sprocket because the have a large diameter swingarm pivot (aluminum), with the stock steel 650 swingarm you could use smaller front and rear sprockets since you won't have the clearance issue.

6mm offset 530 sprockets are available at www.afam.co.jp/E/index2.htm , use the one that's listed for the Z1/Z2/750FX/Z1R.

My motor came out of a 81 or 82 KZ750 so there is no need for the offset sprocket then right?

Not unless you are running a big tire on the rear :)

I had to use an offset sprocket on my 80 KZ750E to get past the 160/55/17 tire that's on it.

Crap, got confused in an earlier post and thought you were installing a 83 GPz750 motor :(

You can just use the 650 chain and sprockets on your 750 motor, stock 750 gearing is 13/33 630 chain.

That's good to hear :)

If you want to use a stock airbox and filter, the KZ750 airbox will fit in the 650 frame for the KZ750 motor, and for anyone using the 83-85 GPz750 motor, the GPz750 airbox will fit also.

May have to fasten them in with wire ties or something though, I don't think the bolt holes line up.

Steell thank you for the help I really appreciate all the help you have given.Hopefully this will be the last question.

It looks like 750 carbs are set up for a single throttle cable is this correct and what is needed to swap from a dual cable set up to single?

On my gas tank I have the main fuel line coming off and another line witch is a vacuum I think do I hook up the vacuum line to one of the vacuum holes that are on the top side of the carbs? Also the two lines that come down in between the 1 and 2 and the 3 and 4 carbs are just puke tubes?
Again thank you for spoon feeding me all the info for the questions I asked.

Now you got me :D

We used a GPZ750 motor, along with the GPz750's Mikuni carbs, and the GPz750 throttle cable, and my 750E doesn't have carbs since I'm going with EFI on that one.

I think I'd probably tie all the vacuum ports together, then tee into that line for the petcock. We had to go with a Pingle petcock because the stock one hit the top of the Mikuni carbs and wouldn't let the tank set down like it's supposed to.
