Got everything back together and she starts up immediately like she used to. It was deffinitely the loose head and low compression. Seems that coil relay mod helped too my plugs aren't as dark, they were brown now their a touch lighter but not too lean. I may have to put in larger jets, but not sure which ones I need for airpods and aftermarket 4 into 2 baffled exhaust.

1979 KZ650, Mac 4-2 exhaust. Restored after 25 years of sitting. Dyna elec coils, ignition. As old as I am, been in the family since new.
