The piccy shows a side view of my Z500 engineB) it's upside down on a bench so above? the secondary shaft are some fixing points for covers etc.Does anyone please have any suggestions:whistle: how I can restore this point to as close to original condition?
Thanks in advance.

if its a cover that bolts onto the cases try finding a differant one, otherwise have it welded.do you have the piece that broke off? goodluck, happy wrenching!

If you can't locate a replacement cover, and if those fixing points for the covers are hidden (for appearance sake only) and aren't put under any type of serious load-bearing stress, you could always just use JB-WELD or something similar to "reconstruct" those areas.

Thanks Wireman, it's a relief to know others know what they're talking about, unlike me:S I'd even considered creating a square"plug" after I'd milled the hole from round to square. Then I thought "It'll take bloody years"and came to the only place people know about Kawa's......here! Thanks again.

Thanks a lot RRRR, I'd never heard of JBWELD, it's just what I'm after. I'll come back with a piccy when it's done. Thanks again.

look closely at the jb weld for there are two types of it,, the good stuff which holds incredibly strong and the 5 mins stuff that isnt worth putting in the packaging

Rather than JB Weld, you might try Alumalloy.
