kz900 kz650 oil filters

I have a buddy with a 77 kz650, I have a 76 900. He is a little broke right now and has not change his oil in a long time. I have oil and filter for my 900 he can have. Question with the 900 filter fit in a 650?

The 650 filter is shorter then the 900 filter.

Ya figured they were different. Think I will just buy him a filter and give them to him.
