I recently bought a couple of bikes where the previous owners had boogered up a sparkplug hole a little to where you couldn't get a plug started properly. Not wanting to have to remove the head to install a helicoil I searched for other solutions. I had remembered seeing some mention of a back tap so I googled it. I found this website www.back-tap.com/
after watching the video it looked like just what the doctor ordered so I ordered one. I ordered mine from these folks
www2.northerntool.com/product/200353676.htm

For some unknown reason it cost $30.00 less from them than from the guy who invented it.:S I'm always on the lookout for anything that makes redoing these old bikes easier, and sometimes you buy something that looks good only to find out it's just more snake oil. I've been accused (sometimes rightfully so) of having more money than brains when it comes to buying things. This time it was money well spent. I've used it to repair both bikes and I have to say it works slicker than snot on a doorknob. I don't know when or if I'll ever have occasion to use it again but if I ever do I've got it. I just wanted to pass this along since I was already the volunteer lab rat so to speak.
