The local dealers will usually swap shims (no cost) if they are not total jerkwads like my local dealer.

Are the shims for your 550?
Sorry, I do not know what sizes they are but if they are for the 550. I am sure I probably have them.
Let me know, I will be glad to trade.

Yes, they're for my 550. If you've got a set, that'd be GREAT. Shoot me a PM either way. I found them at a very reasonable price of $5 on Z1enterprises, but I'll get nailed on duty fees, bringing the price closer to the $17/shim my dealer wants.

I did find a guy here in the GTA who was willing to swap, Twin Seasons Recreation (shameless plug) and I got all but these last 2 from him. My local OEM offered but had on 2.50s in stock.

I hope this doesn't qualify as spamming the forum, as I posted this in another thread, too, but I'm now in the market and would love to not buy a bunch of shims for my KZ750L3

I've got (under-bucket type, part numbers like 92025-1097)
2x 260
2x 250

I need
2x 240
2x 235
1x 230
1x 225

1983 KZ750 L3 with 4-1 Kerker pipe and pods
1983 KZ750 L3 parts bike

Dead Thread, but Z1enterprises did take care of me, for like $5 each and shipped USPS for next to naught.

Good luck,

Rob.

Rob , u wont have to pay duty if u stick with us post. if it is below $20 there is no fee. Above $20 they may charge a $5 handling fee and tax.
i have found that UPS charges huge duty fees.
have u ever used Fedex?

Those lower sizes are harder to come by. Most 550's came with 2.60 and 2.55 so they are plentiful.

But Z1 usually has them in stock and they got them to me in 2 days, somehow! I don't think I can even deliver a letter to myself in 2 days. :)

If you don't do a lot of motor work, I don't recommend the shop kit. You end up with many sizes you won't use, and not enough of the ones you need.

FedEx & UPS love brokerage fees. I do not. US postal service has always been reliable, cheap and timely for shipments from America. I've heard of folks shipping to friends/relatives in the US and reshipping to Canada to save some bucks, never bothered USPS worked for me.
