if i use the kick starter to turn the bike over will it pump oil up to the cams and other passages?
im trying to flush my newly assembled engine to get the small bits that May still be in it !

The only thing better than the sound of a carburettor opening is the sound of 4 carburettors opening simultaneously!

It makes sense that it would.
For example, when I start my bike cold the valves do some ticking until oil gets up there.
I always kick it over in neutral with the ignition off about 4 or 5 times before I start it. Solves my valve ticking at cold startup.

thats what i wanted to hear! now it time to get ready to fire her up!

I would imagine that you would want to kick start it more than 4 or 5 times if your ultimate goal is to remove that crap from the engine. Probably 20-25!
I would go so far as to use the electric start with the plug wires off.

i "just" picked up my new battery just for that reason (so i dont have to kick it over a crap load of times!)
i also got 6 qts of cheap oil to flush through it!
