HELP! Clutch Problem

Okay, I have a 82 KZ550LTD (c3), heres the problem. The clutch is not disengaging when the lever is pulled. After investigation I have found that the rod that is supposed to depress the clutch plates is not rotating when the bike is running like its supposed to be! If anyone can give me some advise on how to tackle taking apart the rest of the case to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated as I have very little faith in my own idea on what to do.

Thanks:unsure:

I'm not really sure what you are describing. What rod should be rotating while the bike is running? Do you have a service manual? Do a search of the archives and you may be able to find a downloadable (PDF) format FSM. If not, shoot me a PM with an e-mail address and I'll scan what I have and send it to you. You can also get a good exploded view of your bike by going to www.kawasaki.com and check "Owners Info" and then navigate to "Parts Diagrams".
