Tony,

I purchased the same pipe (Kerker, yeah baby)...
Question, did you stick with the supplied baffle or did you upgrade?

I purchased the 1.5 competition baffle for mine but unfortunately, bike not up and running yet and have been wondering how loud this beast is going to be... I know, I know, poor old man Rock....

OMR

OMR, I stuck with the supplied baffle. I have yet to install the pipe. Still waiting on a couple of parts for it.

Your bike is looking great!! You must be getting anxious to get it on the road.

If you look back about 3 post prior to this one you will see I posted that info there. Here it is again. You can get it from KG coatings here is a link to them.

You cook it at 325 F for about an hour. If you check this link, click here you will find lots of info on how to put it on. Also, the suppliers of gunkote are very helpful and can give you all the info you need to do it properly. Good luck.

If you follow the link to kg coatings, then follow it through to the 2400 gun kote bake on link, then select that, there is a drop down list of all the colors they have.

Or you can click this link :D

Looks awesome! Did you media blast with the pictured bench-top unit? I've been thinking about getting one but I'm not sure how well they work. What type of cfm are you flowing (air compressor, not bike!)?

Thanks 79MKII, I used that cabinet to do the valve cover. The head fit in there but it was a bit tight. If the hoses were longer in the cabinet it would have been doable. Instead I took it to work and used a bigger cabinet. The block was already clean when I received it. The air flow for that particular set up is 5cfm@80psi.

This cabinet works good but is a bit small. Bigger would be better, but I have limited space. Another member on this site, roynor, has a cabinet similar in size to this one. You might want to get his opinion. He seems to use his quite a bit.
:)

i wish i would have known about this gunkote stuff when i did my last rework on the 750. that would have made the parts i painted look great!
Maybe i will have a nice work space at the new house we buy here soon. Never again to be without a work bench.
