Ya,but I had to give him a kick in the ass.

As long as he only works on THREE projects at a time,he does get something accomplished.:P

Yes, thanks for the kick in the butt Sandy, I promise to return the favor. LOL :D

By the way, that piece of plywood I got from you is my new work bench. You can see it in the picture at the top of this page.

Tony,

If I remember correctly and based on the delivery schedule, you ordered your kit through Overstockpartsgalore.com and it seems all was good (machining)in your kit w/cylinder...
I'm relieved.

The motor looks excellent... What motor paint did you use?

OMR,
I did get the piston kit and block from overstockparts and the machine work by MRE. I am very happy with what they did for me. Interestingly enough, my engine parts were involved in a train wreck!! That was my shipping hold up. Heres the tracking history on my engine parts:

I painted the engine using a process called gunkote. You spray it on then bake it in the oven. Not quite powder coat but the only way it comes off is with some form of blasting media. I used the oven in my kitchen to cook it. It didn't smell that bad. Well, it didn't smell that bad for very long, LOL.

It's interesting that my bike ran perfectly with no oil leaks until that trip I made to Sandy's place. Things went down hill very fast after that. So hopefully next time we meet up there will be no oil smell. :) And if there is and it's coming from my bike, I promise to ride in the back.:)

A trip to Coeur D Alane, riding and racing, that would be fun. I've never been to a race track before. definitely something to think about. If not this season, next year for sure.

Tony, just curious are you running stock cams and carbs with your 1075 kit? I'm thinking about a kit in mine in the future.

How many cans did you use to spray the whole engine? Looks brand new!!!

No time like the present to perform an engine upgrade.

I'm running stock cams and carbs. I'm pretty sure my next upgrade will be the head and cams.

Tony,

I purchased the same pipe (Kerker, yeah baby)...
Question, did you stick with the supplied baffle or did you upgrade?

I purchased the 1.5 competition baffle for mine but unfortunately, bike not up and running yet and have been wondering how loud this beast is going to be... I know, I know, poor old man Rock....

I will say I used about 8 oz. out of my 32 oz. can.
Here is where I got it from kg coatings I used the satin black.
I got the idea from otakar, another member on this forum. He has a very detailed explanation of how to use it. Here is a link to his thread link
So with the info supplied by him and the supplier it was pretty straight forward. The people at kg coatings were very helpful and answered all my questions.
