cylinder bore specs

I'm going to take my cylinders to a machine shop this weekend and need to know what the specs are for out of round and what the max size is. BTW it's for a 1075. Someone posted the three measurments on here a while back but I couldn't find them. Also if you have the ring gaps handy that would help a ton since I'm getting a new set of rings soon.

If you mean ring end gap installed in the cylinder, the nominal value is about .003 -.004" PER INCH OF BORE DIAMETER.

I was surprised to find that on mine the service limit for end gap is DOUBLE the nominal value. It's not a critical spec, unless it's too tight which could cause a ring to break.

If you accurately measure the piston diameter, you can calculate the allowable bore dimensions. When I took mine in to the machine shop to be bored, they insisted on having the pistons to size from.

You know, I never checked to see what brand they are. I got them as a set of pistons, rings, pins and cylinders off ebay about a year or so ago. Maybe I should look into it before I start having any work done. ;)
