I found a 2-1 MAC exhaust that supposedly will fit "any" 750 twin. i have an 80 kz750 twin and the exhaust isnt horrible, but i am slowly gathering parts for some winter work. i havent heard much, well any, about the MAC exhaust systems and would like to hear from anyone out there that is familiar with them and any experiences good or bad.
thanks again! i am loving the helpfulness of everyone on this site!

It blues right away and the fit isn't real great. They are cheap though. I put one on this spring and so far no problems except those listed above. It is pretty quiet though and I even drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the inside part of the baffle. I think it looks pretty good on my bike and I think I'm gonna be painting black over the headers anyway like I always planned. Mine were like 239.99 off ebay just for reference.

I had to use a scaffolding pin, clamped tight in a vise, to bend the end of the left headpipe to get it to mate up well enough to seal.

I was able to bend the pipe pretty readily with no visible cracks in the chrome.

Becker's certainly right about the bluing witch appears during the first ride.

I like the sound and the look of the system just fine.

Mine doesn't interfere with the foot brake but it does seem to be slowly bending in towards the swingarm. It doesn't touch when I'm sitting on it but when i get off the swing arm goes down enough to touch it.

I hung mine in the back with a flat bracket about 2" straight down from the footpeg bolt. Looks like yours is hung farther back?

Anyway, mine did interfere with the foot brake lever. I had to keep making that bracket longer until it just cleared.

When the stock exhaust gave out on my KZ550, and there were really no other alternatives, I put a Mac on it. It was cheap, and felt like it. Generally speaking though, it did the job. My engine was essentially stock with the stock airbox. I cleaned the carbs, went back to stock jetting and reset the air screws on the carbs to the factory recommended settings. It ran fine above about 3000 RPM and was a little lumpy below that. Sometimes it had a little trouble settling into a good idle. The Mac didn't have the pleasant purr of the stock pipes, and certainly didn't look as good, but for the price it was good value.
