Mark, I think Z1E sells the 13mm shims in a kit that isn't all that expensive. I don't have any as I like the 29mm shim over type used by old men who go slow.

I have them, so here's the deal. Send me the ones you don't need, and I'll send you the ones you do need. As long as the ones you send me aren't cracked, or broken, it will be an even exchange.

E-mail me at CoreyDSFA@hotmail.com These shims can be sent carefully wrapped in an envelope with a US Stamp on it. I've done it before.

That's very generous. A long time back, the dealers around here used to swap shims for Kawi owners, but not any more.

I was in desperate need of a shim awhile back and went over to Universal Kaw with a pocket full hoping to trade. They would trade but only for 1 shim for $11. Yeah dealer! Makes me want to come back and buy OEM parts! The other dealer in town that had put all the other Kaw dealers out of business, Alamo Cycle Plex didn't carry any shims or know anything about 29mm shims...

I don't actually begrudge the dealer the right to scalp me for parts.... it's what I know will happen when I go there. My big gripe is that the 32mm shims for the twins are no longer available ANYWHERE... and the dealers here have stocks of them but won't swap them OR sell them AT ANY PRICE.

When I went to the dealer who sold me the bike brand new and he told me to f--- off when I said I was desperate for one shim..... that pretty much defined the business practices of your typical stealership. I was able to get the one I needed from Z1.
